Applied Science Degree: Graphic Design
New and dynamic advancements in the field of graphic design, photographic imaging, and computer applications have led to the creation of exciting career opportunities in the wide field of visual communications. In our Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate in Applied Science degree programs in graphic design, students will broaden their career choices, gain new insights, and develop their portfolios as they explore the conceptualization skills and production tools they will need to produce professional-level products in such areas as advertising, editorial and corporate design, information design, multimedia design, creative typography, magazine and book illustration, corporate marketing materials, web and design. These programs also incorporates create and theoretical bases for further study and a foundation for understanding future technological developments. The college supplements student access to the industry-standard computer studios with open studio time, and an internship program that functions as an in-house design studio.
