The expertise of Oracle database administrators (DBAs) is integral to the success of increasingly complex, data intensive and demanding environments. Today's DBA is called upon to fine-tune day-to-day performance and to prevent unscheduled crises, such as a crashed database or hours of expensive downtime. This critical work requires a broad understanding of the architecture and processes of the Oracle database, as well as plenty of hands-on-experience solving problems. The DBA candidate will complete a series of 4 courses and exams to demonstrate knowledge and DBA skills acquisition. This track is associated with the Oracle Certified Professional designation.
