University of Phoenix offers one of the nation's most current and relevant Professional Certificate programs on the subject of Special Education. This widely recognized program addresses the most important issues that special educators face today, and provides the latest tools and techniques. The program consists of eight courses that each require six weeks. The courses are offered one at a time. A supervised student teaching experience in special education is also required for the Special Education certificate.
