Students are exposed to the skills needed to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement programs of information dissemination to promote a favorable view of an organization, products or services and to increase market share. In the process, students can learn to inquire, research, analyze, measure, reason and document as well as the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a professional team environment. Brown College will expose students to the planning, analytical and diagnostic skills needed to make a significant contribution to their employer's information strategy and more immediate Information Systems goals. A significant amount of time will be spent mastering the basics of each programming language as well as learning the design, structure and testing concepts common to programming languages. At the minimum, a Brown graduate will gain an awareness of information systems problem solving methodology and experience at applying each of several languages.
