The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Arts program educates the student in advanced professional and general education courses with a choice of two major concentrations: Motion Graphics and Visual FX or Film and HDTV. Motion Graphics and Visual FX combines live action footage, animated clips, photography, type, graphic elements and audio to produce a seamless integration of elements into effective commercial presentations. Film and HDTV utilizes cinematography and digital film imaging to produce a demo reel. Students integrate text, graphic elements and action on the screen to convey a message or provide entertainment in the film or HDTV environment.

Collins College offers its students comprehensive facilities, including a library with a reference section, periodical collection, fiction and non-fiction collections, videos, CD-ROM products and equipment. The school learning center provides students with peer tutoring assistance. Tutoring is available to students who may need supplemental instruction on any subject in the curriculum, and a mentor program. Members of the faculty serve as mentors because of their professional expertise as well as their diverse backgrounds.
