PC/ LAN Diploma Program
This network management program focuses on developing the skills necessary to utilize current network technology, which integrates microcomputers with peripheral devices, and communicating with each other in local area, wide area and enterprise networks. In this program, microcomputer hardware is examined using diagnostic and troubleshooting tools, which enables the student to understand how a microcomputer operates and how it can be integrated into a local and/or wide area network.
The program provides an overview of the microcomputer field and an examination of microcomputer operations using MS-DOS. Network administration commands will be studied as well as an introduction to programming with an emphasis on programming networks. Graduates can fill positions such as microcomputer technicians, microcomputer and network troubleshooters, network operators, network group managers, and local area network specialists. This course is ideal for the working individual who needs microcomputer hardware and networking skills to advance in his or her present position.
