Associate of Arts in Business Administration
The Business Administration cirriculum, with programs that emphasize either Marketing or Management, is a terminal program that prepares students to succeed in the global business environment. Today's employers expect prospective employees to have a well-rounded education, including computer technology and practical business experience. Computer Technology is an integral part of the Business Administration department. Each term students take more advanced classes than the previous term. Along with these, students take classes such as Accounting and a computerized Accounting II class that uses the same programs as many professional accountants. Classes in management, microeconomics, macroeconomics, advertising and marketing round out the curriculum. As seniors, students in the marketing curriculum take Marketing Simulation, a class that actually simulates the responsibilities adn pressures of the marketing professional. In the Marketing and Management curriculum, students take Small Business Management, and interactive software program that actually allows students to operate a business.
